General/Family Medicine

Here at Aynat Medical Centre Inc., we care for patients from paediatric to geriatric age, and as such, we offer a wide range of services, inclusive of but limited to:

General consultation
Back-to-school/work certificates
Fit to drive certificates
Food handlers’ certificates
General health certificates
Routine medicals, e.g. annual, immigration, insurance, school entry
Police certificates, e.g. post motor vehicle accidents
Management of acute medical problems, e.g. acute asthma, dehydration
Management of chronic conditions, e.g. asthma, diabetes, hypertension, obesity
Preventative care, e.g. NCCD screening, cancer screening, immunisations
Antenatal Care (for uncomplicated pregnancies)
Home visits (subject to availability)
Specialist referral (as required)

In-House Medical Procedures

The clinic offers a variety of acute medical management and in-house procedures, inclusive of but not limited to:

Administration of oral medications in acute care
Ear syringing (used to treat impacted earwax)
Immunisations (some vaccines like Tetanus toxoid are kept in-house; others can be ordered as necessary and according to availability)
Incision and drainage of abscesses
Intravenous/intramuscular administration of medications, e.g. acute pain management, IM Depo Provera for contraception
Intravenous rehydration
Nebulisations
Pap smears
Phlebotomy
Removal of foreign body (ear, nose)
Suturing of minor lacerations
Suture removal
Urinary catherisation
Wound dressings
Wound care

Of note, any procedure which the doctor may deem unsafe to perform on a patient in the clinic setting will be referred appropriately.

Point-of-Care/In-House Tests

We offer a wide range of in-house testing, as part of the routine/preventative care management of our patients. These services include:

Blood pressure/pulse readings
Blood glucose (sugar) testing
Pregnancy testing
Rapid COVID-19 testing
Urinalysis (complimentary service)
Weight +/- Height (as indicated)

For those blood tests which are not offered in the clinic, we can also send patients' blood samples to the local laboratories, for your added convenience.
