Helping You to Build Your Best Life!
If you are a new patient, welcome to the Aynat Medical Centre Inc. family! On entering the clinic, you should register your name with the front house staff. If you feel like you have an emergency (e.g. acute wheezing), do inform them, so that you may be assessed as soon as possible. If you are new, you will be required to complete an intake form with your basic geographic information, inclusive of, but not limited to your full name, date of birth, address, contact numbers, email address, employment information and insurance coverage. We also request information on your next of kin for use in case of an emergency. For returning patients, should any of your contact information change in the future, please inform the office assistant, so that your file may be updated. This becomes crucial in the event of an emergency or if you need to be contacted with the results of any investigations requested by the doctor.
Following registration, you will be assessed by the office assistant, who will do your blood pressure, pulse rate, weight and in some instances, height. You may also be asked for a urine sample to perform a FREE urinalysis. While such procedures may seem unnecessary and tedious for your particular complaint, please bear in mind that they can diagnose conditions which you may be unaware of, such as diabetes, hypertension and so on.
You will then wait to see the doctor. While you wait, there are refreshments, entertainment and FREE Wi-Fi provided (username – Aynat Guest; password - aynatguest). Please walk with any and all medications you are taking or have taken recently for the doctor to review. On your first visit, the doctor will take a detailed history, in addition to dealing with your presenting complaint. This helps to give a holistic picture of your past medical history and assists with future screening and planning. After your consultation with the doctor, we do encourage you to make a follow up appointment as necessary.
INFECTIOUS DISEASE PROTOCOLS
When scheduling appointments to the clinic, you will be screened for respiratory symptoms and if you are exhibiting such symptoms, you may be isolated within the clinic on your arrival.
Due to sporadic outbreaks of highly contagious respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19 and Influenza, you are still REQUIRED to wear a face mask within the clinic at ALL TIMES. If you do not have a face mask, a disposable one will be provided at a cost of $2. This protocol allows for the protection of the staff and other patients within the clinic.
Lastly, we still encourage you to maintain the following practices:
