To all of our valued patients and clients, please note the following considerations during the COVID-19 crisis:
- To maintain social distancing, patients are encouraged to make appointments to be seen. Same day appointments can be facilitated where possible.
- If you have fever and/or respiratory symptoms, please call the COVID19 patient hotline at 536-4500 for advice. If you have difficulties or concerns, you can also call the clinic. However, please DO NOT come to the clinic with such symptoms. We will guide you on what you should do, based in our telephone consultation. If we do advise that you can come to the clinic, you must wear a face mask during the clinic visit.
- When scheduling appointments to the clinic, you will be screened for respiratory symptoms, recent travel history and contact with any suspected cases of COVID-19. At the clinic, if you are suspected to have COVID-19, you will be asked to return to your car and call the patient hotline (536-4500).
- At this time, certain procedures/examinations will be on hold, given the risk of spread of COVID-19. One such procedure is nebulisation for acute asthma or wheezing with other respiratory illnesses. If you are asthmatic and wheezing, please contact your nearest polyclinic and walk with your Ventolin inhaler and your aerochamber or spacer.
During this time, please remember to practise the following crucial things:
- Maintain social distancing
- Ensure hand and respiratory hygiene
- Ensure correct wearing of face masks (covering nose and mouth)
- If you are unwell, self-isolate and call for the patient hotline (536-4500) for advice
